Privacy Policy for Multiplication.one

The short version

Multiplication.one is a free multiplication practice site for kids. We do not require you to sign up, we do not run advertising, and we do not sell any data. The only visitor information we collect is anonymous Google Analytics traffic data and, if you choose to use the Suggest something form, whatever you type into it.

What we collect and why

1. Google Analytics traffic data (all visitors)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people use the site and which pages are popular. Google collects:

  • Anonymised IP address (last octet zeroed)
  • Approximate country / region
  • Device type, browser, screen size
  • Pages you visit and roughly how long
  • Referring site (how you found us)

This is aggregate analytics only. We never see who any individual visitor is, and we do not combine this data with anything else. Google's own privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2. Suggest something form (only if you use it)

The /tips form lets you send us a suggestion, bug report or piece of feedback. If you submit it, we store:

  • The category you chose and the text you wrote
  • Your email address, only if you filled it in (it is optional)
  • A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address, used solely to rate-limit spam
  • A one-way hash of your browser user-agent string, same reason
  • Timestamp of submission

Your actual IP address is never stored. The hashes cannot be reversed back to your IP. If you provided an email, we may use it once to reply to your suggestion. We will not add it to any list, sell it, or share it. Submissions are kept for up to 12 months then deleted.

3. Standard server logs

Our hosting provider (Oderland, Sweden) keeps standard web-server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent) for a short period. These are used only for security incident response and are not linked to any other data.

What we do NOT do

  • No advertising, ever - no AdSense, no ad networks, no sponsored content
  • No retargeting or profiling
  • No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties
  • No unsolicited email - if you did not write to us, we will not write to you
  • No account required to use any part of the site

Children's privacy

Multiplication.one is designed for children aged 7-11 using it with (or alongside) a parent. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The /tips form is intended for parents and teachers - if a child submits something, they will not include personal information because none is asked for beyond an optional email. If you believe a child has sent personal information, write to joacim@injosoft.se and we will remove it.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA (or anywhere the GDPR applies), you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct it
  • Ask us to delete it ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to us using it
  • File a complaint with your local supervisory authority

In practice, unless you have submitted something via the Suggest form with your email address, we hold no personal data about you at all. To exercise any of these rights, email joacim@injosoft.se.
